Cold chain is the system of transporting and storing vaccines within the safe temperature range of 2°C to 8°C. The chain begins with the refrigerator or freezer at the vaccine manufacturing plant, vaccine distributor and then to the provider’s office (immunization clinic) and ends with the administration of the vaccine to the recipients [1]. Health facilities in developing countries are supposed to maintain the cold chain to ensure that temperature sensitive medicines reach consumers in good quality [2,3].
