柑橘類の花 はいずれ も多量 の花蜜 を分泌 する うえ, 夏澄,八 朔,三 宝柑 などのいわ ゆる雑柑類 では豊富 な 花粉 を もってい るので,多 くの昆虫類が それ を求 めて 集 まる.こ れ らの訪花 性昆虫の なか には,近 年,柑 橘 栽培地帯 で問題 とな ってい る果 実の傷害果の原因 とな る種 もあ ることが知 られ てい る. 筆者 らは1968年 以来,温 州 ミヵンを中心に,八 朔, 夏橙,三 宝柑 について も,そ れ らの開花 中に訪花 す る 昆虫類 について,種 類,花 上 の行動,加 害実 態な どに つ いて調査 を行 な ってい るが,本 稿 では これ までに得 られ た調査結果 につい て,い くつかの知見 を記録 して お きたい. 本文に入 るに さきだ ち,調 査 に協力 していただいた 和歌山県有 田果樹技術者協会 の諸氏 と,元 当研究室勤 務の野田勝子嬢 に厚 く御礼 申 しあげ る.
