Population of the foxglove aphid, Aulacorthum solani on green peppers and eggplants after releasing an aphid parasitoid, Aphidius gifuensis was investigated in greenhouses. The numbers of the foxglove aphids rapidly decreased and those of less than 20% remained on the original plants 5 days after releasing parasitoids. Eleven percentages of the aphids moved to the other plants infested with no aphids before the parasitoid introduction. The aphids in another greenhouse with no parasitoids did not decreased rapidly. These results suggest that introduction of A. gifuensis can lead to quick suppression of the foxglove aphids. 緒 言 近年,西日本の施設促成栽培ピーマンでは,ジャガイ モヒゲナガアブラムシ Aulacorthum solani(Kaltenbach) による被害が問題となっている。ジャガイモヒゲナガア ブラムシは,他の害虫アブラムシ類のように大きなコロ ニーを作って加害することは少なく,移動分散しながら 産仔する特徴がある(水越・柿崎,1995)。ピーマンでは, 本種の吸汁によって新葉の奇形や成葉の黄化に加えて, 果実に壊死斑点を発生させるため,発生個体数が少なく ても経済的な損失が大きくなる(柿元ら,2015a)。また, 一部の地域の施設栽培ナスにおいても,ジャガイモヒゲ ナガアブラムシによる被害が確認されている。我が国で は,アブラムシ類の捕食寄生性天敵としてコレマンアブ ラバチ Aphidius colemani Ashmead が広く利用されてい るが,ジャガイモヒゲナガアブラムシには寄生しない (長坂,2014)。一方,別種の土着寄生蜂ギフアブラバチ Aphidius gifuensis Viereck は,ジャガイモヒゲナガアブ ラムシやモモアカアブラムシ Myzus persicae(Sulzer)に 寄生する(Ohta and Honda,2010)。 ジャガイモヒゲナガアブラムシが寄生しているピー マンやナスにギフアブラバチを放飼すると,ジャガイ モヒゲナガアブラムシの個体数が急速に減少すること がある(太田・本多,2011;柿元ら,2015b)。ジャガ イモヒゲナガアブラムシやエンドウヒゲナガアブラム シ Acyrthosiphum pisum(Harris)では,天敵昆虫によ る捕食や寄生を受けた個体は,植物上から落下する 行動が誘発されることが知られている(Gillespie and Acheampong,2012;Dill et al.,1990)。ピーマンにおけ るジャガイモヒゲナガアブラムシの被害抑制には,早期 発見による防除の実施が不可欠とされており(柿元ら, 2015a),ギフアブラバチ放飼によってジャガイモヒゲナ ガアブラムシ個体群の拡散,増殖を速やかに抑制ができ れば,ピーマンやナスで発生した本種を防除する上でき わめて有用な特性になると考えられる。そこで,本研究 では,予めジャガイモヒゲナガアブラムシを接種した ピーマンやナスを施設ほ場内に準備し,ギフアブラバチ を放飼した後の株上のアブラムシ個体数を経時的に調査 することによって,ジャガイモヒゲナガアブラムシに対 するギフアブラバチの速効的な抑制効果を検証した。本 報告は,農林水産業・食品産業科学技術研究推進事業「ギ フアブラバチの大量増殖と生物農薬としての利用技術の 開発(25053c)」で得られた研究成果の一部である。 材料及び方法 1.供試虫 ギフアブラバチは,2004年4月に高知県南国市でナス (国研)農業・食品産業技術総合研究機構野菜茶業研究所 NARO Institute of Vegetable and Tea Science 2016年1月28日受理
