透過法 による微粉体 の比表面積測定 では分子流 の補正 が必要 なこ とはよ く知 られ てい て, 透過 ガスの定常流 ・ 非定常流状態 それぞれ の場合 に対 し, い ままで幾多 の研 究1~3)がなされ てい る。 しか し, これ らの研究 に使用せ られた装置は比較的簡単であ るとはい え, 既 製品 と して 入手で きない。 タングステ ンの平均粒 子径測 定にはFisher社 のSub -Sieve Sizer (以下, F-SSSと 略記す る) が広 く用い られているが, Knudsen流 補正項 を加えたCarmanの 式4)を 基礎 とす るRigden装 置に対 するPotet5)の 方 法 は分子流 が無視 で きな くなるよ うな粒度範 囲の試料 の 測定 に適 してい る6)。 本報 では, 市販 のElaine装 置 にPotetの 方法 を応用 して, タング ステン, 炭化 タング ステン粉末の平均粒子 径について測定 した結果 を報告す る。
