粉体 の力学的特性値 として安息角お よび内部摩擦 角は 古 くか ら知 られ てお り, 粉体 のか さ的 な挙動 の研究や粉 体取 り扱い機器 の設計 に際 して広 く用い られ てい る。 し か しその測定法 に関 しては現在 までの ところ標準 的 な方 法が な く, 各 自がそれ ぞれの粉体 お よびその操作に応 じ て適当 と思われ る方法 に よる測定を行 なってい るため, 同種 の粉体に対 しても測定値 に相当な差があ り, さらに は同一の粉体現象 (た とえば重 力に よる流出速度, 粉体 圧 など) に対す る これ らの値 の影響 が傾向的に逆に なる とい うことさえ生 じて くる。 粉体工学 の研 究 の進展 お よ び粉体 処理装置 の精密化 お よび新 たな開発が 目覚 ましい 現状 において重要 な基礎物性 の一 つであ る摩擦 特性 の測 定の標準化は きわめ て大切 な ことであ る。 しか しなが ら対象 とす る粉体は多種 多様 であ り, これ に関係す る諸 因子 もまた きわめ て複 雑であ るため, すべ ての粉体 に対 して測定法 を完全 に統一 す ることはで きな い。 以下 本文 では各種 の方法 を概観 しなが らな るべ く広 範 囲の粉体 に適用で きる標準的 な方法 について検 討 して み ることにす る。
