最近の新素材革命の進展に伴 って,あ らゆ る分野で粉 体 に対する関心 がたかま り,微 粉体 を製造す る技術およ び装置両面での研究,開 発が急速に進 みつつある。 一般 に材料を微細化すればす るほど,材 料の物理 的あ るいは化学的性質 に変化がお こる。 この質的変化を活用 して新素材の開発 がな され るわけで,粉 体粒子の大 きさ に対す る要求 も,高 機能や新 しい機能 を材料に附与させ ようと,シ ングル ミクロ ンへ,さ らにはサブ ミクロンの 領域へ と急激に小 さ くな って きている。 粉砕機や分級機 もこれ らの要求に対応すべ く新 しい進 歩,発 展,改 良 の動 向がみ られ る。 ここに述べる当社 の 「クロス ジェッ ト」 ミル は,分 類上は超微粉砕機の一つ である気流式粉砕機 の一種で,高 圧気流 ジェ ット粉砕機 構 に加え,遠 心分級機 「シャー プカ ッ ト」を内蔵 した, 最近 の微粉体製造 の要求 にマ ッチした新 しい微粉砕 ・分 級機で あるといえよう。
