IV-Aグ ル ープに属す るジルコニウムの窒 化物 は,耐 食,耐 摩 耗性,高 硬度 など,優 れた表面特性 および物理 的特性 を有 し1),固 有 の呈色 を示す ことが知 られ2),ま たPVD法 で作製 したZrN膜 の窒化物組 成,格 子 定数 や 反 射率の関係 はPerryら3)に よ って報告 されてい る。 一方 ,イ オ ン注入法 によ り表面 を改質 す る試 み は種々 の金属 につ いて進 め られ ているが4)・5),ジル コニ ウム窒 化 物の窒素分布,着 色性 などの関係 を検討 した研究 は見 あた らない。PVD法 とイオ ン注入法 によ る窒化 物 とで は組成,窒 化物分布,呈 色機構 は異 なる と考 え られ るの で,本 研究で は窒素 イオ ンの注入量 を変 えて ジル コニ ウ ム表面 に生成 した窒化物 の深 さ方 向分布,組 成 および着 色 度変化を検討 した結果 を報告 する。
