This contribution addresses the options and chances for an alliance between students’ participation and the adoption of digital media in a context of academic education at universities. Under certain circumstances these two aspects are able to develop an additional benefit for the process of teaching and learning. Collaboration serves as an exemplification to show imaginable and straightforward ways for such alliances. All of the processes presented in the contribution already have been realized. The following introduces the case study and summarizes every potential and challenge of collaboration.
