Determining the (anti)androgenic activity of agricultural pesticides in aquatic systems with a luminescence bio-assayStudies have indicated that several currently used pesticides have endocrine disrupting properties. This study aims at determining if different agricultural practices introduce different compounds to the aquatic environment that have the ability to interfere with androgen dependant gene transcription. The MDA-kb2 reporter gene bio-assay was used to screen the water and sediment samples.
