Resumen: En este estudio, se describen las caracteristicas fonetico-articulatorias y acusticas presentes en las consonantes obstruyentes del espanol de Chile pronunciadas por 12 estudiantes secundarios francofonos que aprenden espanol como lengua extranjera en el sistema educativo frances. Segun los fenomenos registrados en el analisis auditivo y acustico, los segmentos fueron agrupados en tres categorias distintas: fonemas del espanol de Chile presentes en frances con una articulacion similar, fonemas del espanol de Chile no presentes en frances y fonemas presentes en ambas lenguas con diferencias foneticas escasamente perceptibles. Los principales resultados indican que la lengua materna de los hablantes, en la mayoria de los casos observados, influyo decisivamente en la pronunciacion de los sonidos obstruyentes del espanol de Chile. Abstract: The aim of this paper is to describe the phonetic-articulatory and acoustic features present in obstruents of Chilean Spanish pronounced by twelve secondary school French speakers who learn Spanish as a foreign language in the French educational system. On the basis of the data obtained from the auditory and acoustic analysis, segments were classified into three different categories: Chilean Spanish phonemes that are present in French with a similar articulation, Chilean Spanish phonemes that are not present in French, and phonemes present in both languages with scarcely audible phonetic differences. The main results show that, in most of the observed cases, speakers’ mother tongue had a decisive influence in the pronunciation of Chilean Spanish obstruents.
