El autor inicia su trabajo, planteando las diversas interrogantes que la cultura griega nos sugiere sobre la mujer; se centra posteriormente, y en forma muy detallada, en la vision que de la mujer nos entrega la tragedia griega; para ello, divide su estudio, teniendo en cuenta tres ideas fundamentales: Logos, Polis y Genos.
