Los entramados estructurales hechos de madera maciza y tableros requieren que las uniones tablero- madera puedan conservar una adecuada resistencia mecanica, durante el tiempo y las condiciones de clima en que deban prestar servicio. En este trabajo se determino la resistencia a carga lateral mantenida por uniones clavadas de tableros de hojuelas orientadas (OSB) y madera de Pinus radiata D.Don (pino radiata) luego de ser sometidas a un ciclo de envejecimiento acelerado (CEA). Se comparo la resistencia mecanica mantenida por uniones sometidas a un CEA, con la resistencia y la rigidez mantenidas por probetas de tablero OSB sometidas al mismo ciclo de envejecimiento y luego ensayadas a flexion. En cada propiedad evaluada se fabricaron pares de probetas, en las cuales una probeta he sometida a envejecimiento y luego ensayada mecanicamente, mientras que la otra fue sometida a ensayo mecanico sin envejecimiento previo. El metodo de envejecimiento aplicado fue de 2 horas de inmersion en agua hirviendo y 1 hora en agua a 25°C. El porcentaje de resistencia mantenida por las uniones clavadas he entre 70 y 73%, lo cual es 35 % mayor que el modulo de rotura a flexion (MOR) mantenido por los tableros OSB. Abstract The use of oriented strand board panel (OSB) in sheathings of structural walls needs that the OSB-timber joints are able to maintain strength enought during their service life. In this work it was determined the lateral load resistance maintained by OSB panel and solid wood nailed joints submitted to an aging test. A comparison was done between the maintained resistance of the evaluated joints and the modulus of rupture (MOR) and modulus of elasticity (MOE) maintained for the OSB panels after the same aging test. In each evaluated property were tested probes with and probes without aging. The aging test selected was the 2 hours boil-1 hour soak aging test. A good behaviour of the nailed joints resistance was observed in both directions of the board. The joints of OSB panels maintained 35 % more resistance than the bending resistance of the OSB panel, both after the same accelerated aging test.
