espanolEl presente trabajo analiza el problema del sobreendeudamiento del consumidor en Chile a la luz de las Directivas dictadas por el Parlamento europeo y lo realizado en esta materia especialmente por Espana. La primera parte se refiere a la nocion, causas y problemas que genera el fenomeno de sobreendeudamiento en Chile, para luego revisar como se ha enfrentado en Europa para evitar que el consumidor pase de una situacion de sobreendeudamiento a una situacion de insolvencia. EnglishThis paper analyzed the problem of consumer over-indebtedness in Chile in light of the Directives issued by the European Parliament and what has been done in this area by countries such as Spain, France, Italy and Portugal. In the first part, it refers to the notion, causes and problems generated by the over-indebtedness phenomenon in Chile. Then, it reviews how the consumer overindebtednessit has faced in Europe to avoid an insolvency situation.
