RESUMEN Cuatro ejes marcaron la coyuntura de Honduras durante el 2013. Uno, la persistencia de la violencia y criminalidad que han ubicado al pais como el mas violento del mundo. Dos, el enfrentamiento entre el gobierno y los grandes medios de comunicacion por las reformas legislativas al sector de telecomunicaciones. Tres, la creciente protesta social ante la profundizacion de las medidas neoliberales, y la criminalizacion por parte del gobierno, en especial de las movilizaciones de los maestros, indigenas, grupos afrohondurenos y campesinos. Y cuatro, las elecciones generales, cuyos resultados cuestionados le permitieron al oficialismo continuar en el gobierno. Sin embargo, los resultados electorales evidencian que en Honduras esta en curso un proceso profundo de reconfiguracion del sistema de partidos politicos. Palabras clave: Seguridad, militarizacion, reformas, protestas y criminalizacion. ABSTRACT There were four key issues in Honduras’s political conjuncture. First, the persistent violence and criminality that made of Honduras the most violent country in the world. Second, the clash between government and media on the issue of legislative reforms in the telecommunications sector. Third, the increase in social protest, especially of teachers, indigenous groups, and Afro-Honduran peasants, as a reaction to the deepening of neoliberal reforms. And fourth, the general elections, whose disputed results allowed the ruling party to continue in government. However, the election’s results show that Honduras is undergoing a profound process of reconfiguration of the political party system.
