Let D be a domain of the complex plane containing the origin. The famous great theorem of Émile Picard asserts that if h is holomorphic on D\{0}, with an essential singularity at 0, then the image under h of any pointed neighbourhood of 0 covers all the complex plane, with at most one exception. Introducing the concept of essential singularity for analytic multifunctions, we extend this theorem to a finite analytic multifunction K, of degree N , defined on D\{0}. In this case 0<|λ|<r K(λ) covers all the complex plane, with at most 2N − 1 exceptions. In particular, this theorem can be used in the case of N × N matrices whose entries are holomorphic on D \ {0} with essential singularities at 0. In this case, if their spectra avoid 2N points on a pointed neighbourhood of 0, these spectra must be constant. 0. Introduction. Rappelons que les multifonctions analytiques définies sur D sont les multifonctions du type λ 7→ K(λ), où K(λ) est un compact non vide du plan complexe, qui sont semi-continues supérieurement et telles que le complémentaire de leur graphe Γ = {(λ, z) : z ∈ K(λ)} ⊂ D × C soit un ouvert pseudo-convexe. Ce sont les généralisations naturelles des fonctions holomorphes sur D et elles ont de très nombreuses propriétés et applications dans beaucoup de secteurs des mathématiques. On pourra trouver un exposé détaillé sur ces propriétés et applications dans [1, 2]. Dans le cas général des multifonctions analytiques définies sur tout le plan complexe, le petit théorème de Picard a été généralisé dans [3]. On a montré que K(λ)∧ est constant ou sinon C\λ∈CK(λ)∧ est un ensemble Gδ de capacité nulle, où K(λ)∧ dénote l’enveloppe polynomialement convexe de K(λ), c’est-à-dire la réunion de K(λ) avec ses trous.
