Based on the growing and expressive amount of solid waste generated by the current development model, the search for the production of concrete that follow the guidelines and concepts of sustainability has become a major challenge for the civil construction sector. These guidelines include recycling and reuse, both of which are sustainable alternatives to reduce the environmental damage. In this context, the objective of this research was to analyze the partial replacement of 5% of natural sand by rubber waste for two types of meshes, being the thinnest 40 mesh and the thickest 10 mesh. The specimens were submitted to compressive strehgth tests, being apllied by diametral compression traction at the ages of 3, 7, 28 and 91 days and dynamic elastic modulus at the ages of 28 and 91 days. It was then verified that all concretes in both fresh and hardened states met the normative parameters and appear as a somewhat promising alternative in terms of sustainability.
