In Brazil, in order to qualify the attendance, many of Emergency Hospital Services (SHE), have implanted the device User Embracement by Risk Rating (ACCR). This study, which corresponds to the period March 2008 to December 2010, aimed to report the performance of the nurse in the process of implementation of the ACCR on the SHE of the Regional University Hospital of Maringa-PR. In respect of the actions of the nurse at the deployment of ACCR includes: planning the construction of room for Nursing Consultation, appropriateness of the workers’ scale to the ACCR needs; creation of manuals and protocols; Workshops for staff training. For the planning and conducting of actions Multidisciplinary Working Groups were created coordinated by nurses. It is concluded that on the Service investigated, the role of nurses in the process of implementing the ACCR was crucial and, although the device still requires some fine tuning, we can see less demand and more organization in the assistance.
