With Hegel theory and practice come to be understood as subject to self-movement of the Spirit. Karl Marx is in charge of subverting the Hegelian idealist system, giving it a materialist character and history. Recently opened in this perspective, the theory abandons his ‘etheric’ retreat to take sides effectively in real human-social problems. In this study we intend, therefore, to make some reflections on the evolution of this linkage between theory and politics in the writings of Marx and Engels written between 1843-1848, a critical period to the development of their reflections, that would result – through key works, such as Economic and Philosophical manuscripts and The German Ideology – in the writing of the Communist Manifesto, perhaps the greatest example of this conjunction between the theoretical and practical dimensions.     Com Hegel, teoria e prática passam a ser compreendidas como submetidas ao automovimento do Espírito. Karl Marx é o responsável por subverter o sistema idealista hegeliano, conferindo-lhe um caráter materialista e histórico. Nessa perspectiva recém-inaugurada, a teoria abandona o seu refúgio ‘etéreo’ para tomar partido efetivamente nos problemas humano-sociais reais. No presente estudo realizamos algumas reflexões sobre a evolução desse encadeamento entre teoria e prática nos textos de Marx e Engels escritos entre 1843-1848, período essencial para o amadurecimento de suas reflexões, que resultariam – passando por obras fundamentais, como os Manuscritos Econômico-filosóficos e A ideologia alemã – na redação do Manifesto Comunista, talvez o maior exemplo do desenvolvimento dessa conjugação entre teoria e prática.
