当院CAPD患者17例中, 開腹術既往のある患者5例, 腹膜炎既往のある患者5例, 両者の既往のない患者7例について, 超音波による腸間膜の厚さの測定, 超音波および腹部X線CTによる腹膜癒着の検索を行った. 開腹術既往のある患者6例にCAPDを試み, 緑膿菌の腹膜炎により強度の腹膜癒着を認めた1例を除いた5例でCAPD導入が可能であり, 開腹術既往例でもCAPDの適応になりうると考えられた. 腸間膜の厚さは開腹群で平均4.8±1.9mm, 腹膜炎群で2.6±0.8mm, 非開腹かつ非腹膜炎群で2.9±1.0mmであり, 有意差はないが開腹群で腹膜が肥厚していた. 腹膜癒着の陽性率は超音波上, 開腹群で40.0%, 腹膜炎群で40.0%, 非開腹かつ非腹膜炎群で42.9%, X線CT上では, 開腹群で25.0%, 腹膜炎群で0%, 非開腹かつ非腹膜炎群で40.0%であり, 超音波, X線CTともに明らかな傾向を認めなかった.
