Cet article aborde la constitution du Musée Cartographique de la Ville de Genève, ouvert entre 1907 et 1922 à partir du fonds cartographique de Charles Perron et d'Élisée Reclus. A travers l'analyse de sources édites et inédites, nous reconstruisons cette expérience en nous interrogeant sur le rapport entre géographie et éducation populaire, et sur le rôle de la cartographie dans la démarche de ces géographes
