EnglishA secure peer attachment appears in the literature as a protective factor against bullying behavior. The present study seeks to test the predictor effect of peer attachment on different types of bullying and to examine the mediating role of gender on the same association. The sample consists of 351 individuals of both genders, between the ages of 12 and 17. The results show the existence of a peer attachment predictive effect on victimization but does not reveal a gender moderator effect in this association. As for the aggressive behaviors, no predictive value of peer attachment was found. The results will be discussed and analyzed as the attachment theory, in order to understand the importance of peer attachment as a protective factor for maladaptive behavior in adolescence. francaisLa relation sur aux pairs a ete mis en perspective par la litterature en tant que facteur protecteur face a l'engagement dans des comportements de bullying. Cette etude se penche sur l'effet predicteur du lien aux pairs face a l'engagement dans des comportements de bullying en evaluant si le sexe est moderateur de cette association. L'echantillon est compose de 351 participants des deux sexes, âges de 12 a 17 ans. Les resultats montent l'effet predictif du lien aux pairs dans les comportements de victimisation, aucun effet moderateur du sexe dans cette association n'etant constate. Pour ce qui est des comportements d'agression, aucune valeur predictive du lien aux pairs n'est a souligner. Les resultats seront sujet a debat a la lumiere de la theorie du lien, en tenant compte de l'importance de la qualite de la relation avec les pairs en tant que facteur protecteur en matiere de comportements desadaptant de bullying au cours de l'adolescence. portuguesA vinculacao segura aos pares tem vindo a ser perspetivada na literatura enquanto fator protetor face ao envolvimento em comportamentos de bullying. O presente estudo testa o efeito preditor da vinculacao aos pares nos comportamentos de bullying, avaliando se o sexo e moderador nesta associacao. A amostra e constituida por 351 participantes de ambos os sexos, entre os 12 e os 17 anos de idade. Os resultados apontam para o efeito preditivo da vinculacao aos pares nos comportamentos de vitimizacao, nao se verificando um efeito moderador do sexo nesta associacao. No que refere aos comportamentos de agressao, nao foi encontrado valor preditivo da vinculacao aos pares. Os resultados serao discutidos a luz da teoria da vinculacao, considerando a relevância da qualidade da relacao com os pares enquanto fator protetor em comportamentos desadaptativos de bullying na adolescencia.
