International audienceCarlos Salem, auteur argentin vivant en Espagne et assumant une identité hybride « d’argeñol », est l’une des principales figures émergentes d’une nouvelle scène littéraire internationale contemporaine. L’espace littéraire de Carlos Salem et les contours qu’il donne au genre policier dans ses trois premiers romans posent de manière particulièrement aiguë la question de la réécriture ludique. Celle-ci apparaît comme un moyen visant paradoxalement à s’affranchir des grandes figures tutélaires de la littérature et de l’Histoire. En effet, la question de l’origine, et plus précisément, du père fondateur, est posée à tous les niveaux des textes, par la réécriture. La mise à distance burlesque des héritages littéraire et historique ressemble à une tentative d’émancipation vis-à-vis de nos aînés. Cependant, en interrogeant le rapport que Salem construit entre la réécriture et le référent historique, cet article montre comment l’usage superlatif de la réécriture, où semble primer la désertion du réel historique, ouvre néanmoins à un retour de l’histoire contemporaine sous la forme du mythe.Carlos Salem, an Argentinian author living in Spain and assuming a hybrid identity of "argeñol", is one of the leading emerging figures in a new contemporary international literary scene. The literary space of Carlos Salem and the contours he gives to the policeman in his first three novels pose in a particularly acute manner the question of playful rewriting. It appears as a means paradoxically aimed at freeing itself from the great tutelary figures of literature and history. Indeed, the question of origin, and more precisely, of the founding father, is posed at all levels of the texts, by rewriting. The burlesque distancing of literary and historical inheritance resembles an attempt at emancipation from our elders. However, in querying Salem's relationship between rewriting and the historical referent, this article shows how the superlative use of rewriting, which seems to prevail over the desertion of the historical real, opens nevertheless a return to contemporary history under the Form of the myth
