Dans cet article, nous montrons comment le concept de contradiction developpe dans la theorie de l’activite (Engestrom, 1987) peut etre mobilise pour analyser de facon simultanee la transformation d’un outil et des pratiques de travail au fil du temps. Une etude de cas portant sur la co-configuration d’une technologie open source dans une organisation permet d’illustrer l’application de ce cadre conceptuel.
