The paper describes a concept and application examples for a distributed Web-based control system (DWCS). The DWCS is based of two key components: an IEC 61131-programmable Web control and a process data proxy as the process interface. Control functions can be distributed and executed ad lib in the Intranet/Internet via the DWCS
