Asurvey of the digger wasp fauna of La Palma (Canary Islands) is made. Eleven species are confirmed as present and five of them – Liris nigricans nigricans (Walker, 1871), Miscophus eatoni E. Saunders, 1903, Tachysphex nitidus (Spinola, 1806), Solierella insidiosa de Beaumont, 1964, and Nitela laevigata sp. n. – are recorded for the first time for the fauna of La Palma. A brief evaluation of the digger wasp species richness of La Palma is provided.
