In this article we reevaluate a series of collective actions that took place in 1781 in the city, the southeastern valleys and the Chaco’s border of Jujuy Thus, we reconstruct the intervention and the discursive representations that colonial authorities of Jujuy and the governorate of Tucuman made about the attack of border forts, the circulations of information and rumors about the Rey Inka in Peru, gatherings, and an imminent attack on the city of Jujuy
