V srediscu razprave so Tartinijevi koncerti in stevilni seznami njegovih koncertov in sonat, ki jih danes hrani Berlinska državna knjižnica v okviru pruske kulturne dediscine, ter domneve o njihovem izvoru. Vsi koncerti (38 rokopisov) in seznami (7) so bili domnevno del zbirke se nepojasnjenega izvora. Rokopisom lahko sledimo vse od Padove, sredisca Tartinijevega delovanja, do Francije, a tudi Belgije v 19. stoletju.
