The Irish saints, many of whom were important figures in continental-European eccle- siastical and cultural history, figure prominently in European liturgical manuscripts. According to a research (still in progress), they make their appearance in more than 300 medieval manu- scripts from nearly all the European countries. In many cases, the feasts of the Irish saints were celebrated by proper newly composed offices, which include, as far as is known, more than Izvlecek: Irski svetniki, med katerimi so bile mnoge pomembne osebnosti evropske cerkvene in kulturne zgodovine, imajo pomembno vlogo v evropskih liturgicnih rokopisih. Kot kaže se potekajoca raziskava, so prisotni v vec kot 300 srednjeveskih rokopisih iz domala vseh evropskih dežel. V mnogih primerih so se godovi irskih svetnikov praznovali z novimi, dolocenim svetni- kom namenjenimi oficiji; kolikor je znano doslej, vsebujejo ti vec kot 150 proprijskih spevov.
