We are continuing our series of interviews wit key players in karst studies of te last century. In tis issue, te interviewee is Milan Herak, professor emeritus of Zagreb University and a long-time full member of te Croatian and corresponding member of te Slovenian and Austrian Academies of Sciences and Arts. Professor Herak as an impressive, 70-year long researc and teacing record in various fields of geology. He was among te first stressing te relation between geologic structure and karst features. He publised more tan 200 works, including several fundamental textbooks on geology, and served as an editor of several journals and books. He co-edited te book Karst: Important Karst Regions of te Nortern Hemispere, wic as become one of te classic and world-wide recognised references on te regional karst distribution. The CV of prof.
