消化器外科に入院した患者84例を対象として, 栄養状態と虚実証の関連について検討した。虚実証の判定は, 大竹の虚実判定スコアーを用いて行った。癌患者の%理想体重は, 非癌患者より有意に低値であった (p<0.01)。癌患者と非癌患者の虚実証の頻度に差は認められなかった。虚実判定スコアーは握力 (r=0.6), %理想体重 (r=0.29), 血清アルブミン (r=0.27) との有意の相関が認められた (p<0.050.01)。とくに, 握力は一元配置分析にて虚証, 中間証と実証の3群間に有意差が認められた (p<0.01)。虚実判定スコアーは栄養評価の一つとして有用と思われた。
