National audienceThe evolution of society as well as the current economic crisis have led to the questioningof the integrity of economists. The AFSE addresses this problem in order torecover public confidence. We analyse these recommendations and try to demonstratetheir relevance and also their limits, related to the lack of a legal definition of theeconomic profession, to inter-ethical issues, and to the status of the AFSEL’évolution de la société ainsi que la crise économique actuelle ont conduit à desinterrogations portant sur la probité des économistes. Dans le cadre de son objectif depromotion du développement de la science économique, l’AFSE a élaboré une liste debonnes pratiques en matière d’éthique scientifique afin d’y répondre. Nous revenonssur ces recommandations dans le but d’en démontrer la pertinence mais aussi certaineslimites liées a l’absence d’une définition légale de ce qu’est un économiste, auxconflits inter-déontologiques et aux statuts de l’AFS
