We present a simulation-based study for monitoring Akkuyu Nuclear PowerPlant's activity using antineutrino flux originating from the reactor core. Awater Cherenkov detector has been designed and optimization studies have beenperformed using Geant4 simulation toolkit. A first study for the design of amonitoring detector facility for Akkuyu Nuclear Power Plant is discussed inthis paper.
