Seven new species of the genus    Myrmica    Latreille, 1804 are described from China:    M.   dongi    sp. n. ,    M.   huaii    sp. n. ,    M.   liui    sp. n. ,    M.   mifui    sp. n. ,    M.   oui    sp. n. ,    M.   wangi    sp. n.  and    M.   yani    sp. n .    Myrmica   forcipata    Karawaiew, 1931 is recorded from China for the first time, while    M.   zhengi    Ma &amp; Xu, 2011 is synonymized with    M.   luteola    Kupyanskaya, 1990. Identification keys based on worker caste are provided to the    Myrmica    species of China and thepachei   -group species of the Old World, respectively.
