The sawfly genus    Empria    Lepeletier &amp; Serville (  Hymenoptera  :   Tenthredinidae  :   Allantinae  ) is reviewed in South Korea and four species are reported as new in the country:    Empria   lycroi    Prous &amp; Park,  sp. nov.  (also Russia);    E.   nigroterga    Park &amp; Lee,  sp. nov.  (also Russia);    E.   wui    Wei &amp; Nie (also Japan); and    E.   zhangi    Wei &amp; Yan (also Russia).    Tenthredo   magnicornis    Eversmann, 1864,  syn. nov.  is treated as a synonym of    E.   candidata    (Fallén, 1808). A key to the six species currently known from South Korea and photographs of the diagnostic characters for each species are presented. In addition, phylogenetic analysis based on one mitochondrial ( COI ) and two nuclear (NaK,  POL2 ) genes are reported for 20 species of    Empria   .
