The magnetic Ap or CP2 stars are natural atomic and magnetic laboratories andideal testing grounds for the evaluation of model atmospheres. CP2 starsexhibiting photometric variability are traditionally referred to as alpha2Canum Venaticorum (ACV) variables. Strictly periodic changes are observed inthe spectra and brightness of these stars, which allow the derivation ofrotational periods. Related to this group of objects are the He-weak (CP4) andHe-rich stars, some of which are also known to undergo brightness changes dueto rotational modulation. Increasing the sample size of known rotationalperiods among CP2/4 stars is an important task, which will contribute to ourunderstanding of these objects and their evolution in time. We have compiled anextensive target list of magnetic chemically peculiar (CP2/4) stars. Inaddition to that, a systematic investigation of early-type (spectral types B/A)variable stars of undetermined type in the International Variable Star Index ofthe AAVSO (VSX) yielded additional ACV candidates, which were included in oursample. We investigated our sample stars using publicly available observationsfrom the ASAS-3 archive. We were able to identify another 360 stars exhibitingphotometric variability in the accuracy limit of the ASAS-3 data, therebyconcluding our search for photometrically variable magnetic chemically peculiarstars in the ASAS-3 archive. Summary data, folded light curves and, ifavailable, information from the literature are presented for all variable starsof our sample, which is composed of 334 bona-fide ACV variables, 23 ACVcandidates and three eclipsing binary systems. In particular, we call attentionto HD 66051 (V414 Pup), which was identified as an eclipsing binary systemshowing obvious rotational modulation of the light curve due to the presence ofan ACV variable in the system.

New Photometrically Variable Magnetic Chemically Peculiar Stars in the ASAS-3 Archive
