メンブランフィルター上に集めた空気12m3中の浮遊塵を標準ヒ素およびフラックスモニターの銅とともに, 中性子束2.1×1012n・cm-2・sec-1で10時間照射した。24時間冷却後, 化学収率補正のための74Asと担体として亜ヒ酸および臭化物を加えた。ついで湿式灰化, 塩化ヒ素をベンゼンで抽出および硫化物の均質沈殿を含む化学分離を行った。82Br (554.3keV) と122Sb (563.9keV) は化学分離で除去でき, 76Asの559.4keVの光電ピークを定量に用いることができた。化学収率は5070%, 定量下限は0.5ng (計測誤差±15%) あるいは1ng (±10%) であった。日本の都市の大気浮遊塵中ヒ素濃度はふつう510ng・m-3であった。
