The main typological features of the Ukrainian magazines of 1990- 2010 devoted to literary and publishing topics as a basis of contemporary specialized new (digital) media have been desicribed. The correctness of the term «book magazine» has been justified. The peculiarities of emerging new discursive practice on the pages of analyzed publications — book journalism — have been charactrized. The particular attention is paid to the problems of literary and book criticism (lack of professionalism, dependence on advertising funds, lack of authoritativeness of criticues opinions custom — tailored service setc.), which remain relevant for the new digital media of relevant topies.Keywords:  book magazine, literary and publishing criticism, book journalism, «Knyznyk-review».
