The self-care of health, basic in primary care, needs to be reinforced in the training of nursing professionals, the objective of this research is to investigate the perception of self-care in primary health care in students of the Nursing career This study is analytical Experimental pursues a Pre-experimental, longitudinal and prospective design. It was carried out at the State University of Southern Manabi, Ecuador. Students from the last biennium were selected, in order to make a diagnosis of the level of knowledge about self-care, establish a proficiency profile and propose methodologies organized in a didactic proposal to be incorporated into the Nursing career.
