This research is motivated by the difficulty of teachers and students in understanding mathematical concepts. The objectives are: (a1) To know the description of mathematics learning outcomes by applying the mind mapping learning model (2) to know the effect of mind mapping learning model on improving students learning outcomes Specialy on cartesian coordinates .Based on the results of data analysis and discussion obtained conclusion: (1) The process of learning mathematics by applying mind mapping learning model inVIII1 class is running very well which is implemented and student activity during learning progress increase from 35% to 78,33%. (2) learning maathematical outcomes of experimental class and control class after the research has increased significantly. (3) Based on the result of t test, it shows that the learning outcomes mathematical students who are taught by mind mapping learning model has a difference in avarage learning outcomes with students who are taught using direct learning model.
