This article tries to seek in the CIC a normative grip to the requirements of the freedom of speech and dialogue that, as citizens of a free and democratic society, they come into our way, questioning and challenging us as a faith community which should not be surprised by the requirements, considering it all in the obedience frame to whom it has been entrusted the service of the authority in the Church. In other words, we will consider the possibilities that the Church’s Law offers us when it refers to the dialogue and to the freedom of speech in its roots.
