The process of implementation of the European Credit Transfer System (ECTS) begins in 1989. It is being widely tested in the European Union universities. In Spain, the recommendations of the Bologna Declaration are currently being followed. In 2001, the Tuning project arises to promote the European coordination scheduled in the agreements of Bologna and Prague. In the thematic field of Education Sciences, the specific competences of this area are dealt with. Pilot experiences of ECTS implementation are being developed in Spanish Faculties of Education to adjust degrees and curricula. In 2003, Pagani proposes the decalogue for the design of a degree; in 2004, De Miguel and his collegues introduce a pattern for the design of a curriculum.
