This paper discusses professional action and the relation between the number graduates and freshmen students in Mathematics Teacher undergraduation at Federal University of Mato Grosso do Sul, in Campo Grande, over 30 years - from 1981 to 2010 – of its existence. This study is part of an exploratory research, which looks into three decades of existence of this course seeking relations between its curricular structures and its graduates to understand the low percentage of graduates and the choice of a part of them in not working as mathematics teacher in Elementary School, High School or College, after finishing the course.
