The so called late season diseases are among the factors affecting soybean production in Argentina. In the main soybean region brown spot, caused by Septoria glycines is the most important late season disease, being managed mainly by fungicide applications. However since the control of the pathogen is limited and the possibility of fungal resistant to fungicides, the use of resistant cultivars of soybean is a key factor. The goal of this research was to identify resistant cultivars to Septoria glycines. In order to do that symptoms and severity of the disease were evaluated at R6 and R7 growth stages. Eleven cultivars included in the soybean cultivars evaluation program (RECSO) belonging to maturity groups late III, early IV and late IV. The results of this research showed differential behaviour among the cultivars to brown spot, where RA 349 and Bio 380 (late group III) were less susceptible than SK 3.5. Among the cultivars of late
