Phil Scholar, Department of English GIFT University, Gujranwala PAPER INFO ABSTRACT Received: February 5, 2019 Accepted: May 24, 2019 Online: June 30, 2019 The study aims at providing a representation of ‘Sanjha Punjab’ in The Weary Generations (Udas Naslain) by Abdullah Hussein under the perspective of syncretism. It examines the lives of various groups of people such as Muslims, Sikhs and Hindus in one community at different stages socio-political, cultural, economic and religious perspectives regardless of their religions. However, for the textual analysis, Bhabha’s notion of hybridity/syncretism has been taken as a theoretical framework. Moreover, this study can be helpful to preserve Punjabi culture through the insight of past lives of these groups of people. This study is an invitation of love and peace for the people in the current scenario that they may come and live in multicultural societies. As the multicultural society addresses all issues regarding the animosity and hostility related to the lives of the people whether they belong to Muslim, Sikh, Hindu or other community
