Predation is one of the main causes of mortality in amphibian populations which can occur at any stage of its life. In this study, we report for the first time, the predation on Trachycephalus typhonius by a mantis in Mexico. With this, we increase our knowledge about the dietary diversity of this group, confirming its predatory capacity on a species of amphibian, under natural conditions and without manipulation.
