In the article the treatment to the orienting function is based as a methodological content of the preparation to the heads of cycle of the Primary Education. Arguments are exposed on the preparation of the heads of cycle for their integral formation, as well as of the guiding function in the work of the head of cycle that they base the necessity to establish the articulation between both. A methodological strategy is presented for the preparation of the heads of the cycle characterized by the systematization of the contents and paths of the guiding function in order to improve the work of the cycle manager.
