The work presents the process of vibration isolation design for a building subject to the infl uence of railway vibrations. This process is illustrated on the example of the railway control building in Biała Rawska, realized within the framework of the investment, the general contractor of which was PORR Polska Construction S.A. Measurements of railway vibrations at the site of the planned building were made, the building calculation model was performed and then the building vibration parameters (vibration isolation) were calculated based on the simulation calculations on this model. The purpose of the described design work was to limit the impact of vibration on the equipment in the computer room (server room) located in this building and the people working in the building. The original design of the rail track vibration insulation was replaced by a building vibration project. This allowed optimization of work time (reduction of railway traffi c interruptions) and the cost of vibration isolation.
