Designing process of the new rail construction for deep mining transport was presented in this article. This rails was designed within the mining excavation’s equipment typifi cation project of JSW SA coal mines. Goals of the study are improvement of material management, reduction of production cost, improvement corrosion resistance and extension of the track life. The primary aim of such actions is to reduce the cost of fi nal coal price.
