The article discusses the problem of psychological assessment of respondents' stress resistance during professional selection. A theoretical analysis of the currently known methods for assessing stress resistance, their positive and negative sides is carried out. The problem of assessing stress resistance by psychological questionnaires is noted, in a situation where respondents are interested in inflated results (for example, during professional selection for leadership positions). The article proposes a method for assessing stress resistance based on modeling the stress factor “Time shortage”, which minimises the possibility of respondents' conscious distortion of the results during testing. The technique was tested during the selection of candidates for managerial positions in the Recruitment Agency “OKO” in Kirov.
