A rather significant degree of wearing of pipeline transportation systems constructed using hot-rolled pipes is observed in the oil and gas industry. This raises concerns regarding emerging threats to their operational safety. As to the use of hot-rolled pipes in heat supply systems, where the pipes service life is short, while labor intensity and costs for pipes replacement are high, the situation is unfavorable. Measures are required to increase their reliability. Technologies and equipment have been developed for anticorrosion treatment of pipe surfaces and the solid material, combined with hardening surface deformation processing (SPD) of inner and outer pipe surfaces. Anticorrosive inhibitory treatment of the solid body ensures elimination of inter-crystalline corrosion inside the solid material.
